Training Module on Contracting in Urban Transport

Conceptualizing an urban transport project to plan for an existing or foreseen urban mobility issue requires a series of steps to ensure the concept works and sustains in reality. Each step acts as a stepping-stone to achieve the motive of the project. However, these steps may depend on case-to-case basis; but broadly remains same for all projects. Often, some of these steps are neglected or perceived on low priority, which may have a negative impact on the project life cycle. This module on Contracting in Urban Transport discusses these steps, and explains various contracting and implementation options available in India, contents of the project reports, procurement and bidding process, along with monitoring contracts.
