Training module on Demand Assessment

Quality of life and economic prosperity in a region are strongly influenced by the efficiency of its transportation infrastructure. High levels of congestion, crowded public transport, poor air quality, and limited accessibility are serious concerns in many cities, and authorities are trying to improve the situation through a variety of infrastructure and policy changes. Financial resources are limited, and therefore, it is very important to test all possible alternatives and review traffic and public transport forecasts before taking any decisions. This module focuses on the process of conducting these demand assessments and the assumptions made.
