WRI India Ross Center invites you to 'TheCityFix Labs India: Accelerating Innovation', an initiative of WRI’s TheCityFix Labs, in partnership with Citi Foundation.
TheCityFix Labs is conducting policy dialogues in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru on the innovation ecosystem in these three sectors. These dialogues will present discussions on operationalizing sustainability and scaling solutions by engaging city government stakeholders, industry experts, entrepreneurs and investors/financiers.

The Lab seeks to work with a cohort of enterprises to help develop solutions that would appeal to State government programs while also evolving business models that can gain private financing access and support.

TheCityFix Labs will support innovations that are easy to integrate into existing or new built spaces, create value for the entire ecosystem and have the potential for scaling. Proposals need to address at least one of the following components.
OpportunityWhat does the Lab offer ?
TheCityFix Labs offers exposure and engagement with key stakeholders for emerging solutions to take off and maintain momentum in the post-lab and post-pilot phase. It seeks to create a coalition of government and private sector action that can scale quickly. Additionally, it will offer participants the chance to associate with WRI India’s domain experts and a global network of mentors drawn from our partner organizations. Shortlisted candidates will attend workshops tailored to support the legal, technical, and business development of solutions in collaboration with various stakeholders. Finalists will receive support in the following two areas:
Business development and strategy, business plan reviews, pilot design, legal compliance planning, government engagement tools, and other technical support
Access to a wide network of experts, advisors, governments and local authority representatives, investors, potential partners, etc.
EligibilityWho can apply?
TheCityFix Labs will support innovations that are -
- Led by entrepreneurs, businesses, technology companies, associations, city governments, etc. who have in-depth knowledge about their markets.
- Post prototype with at least 1 demonstration on-ground.
The Applicants must:
- Be registered as a legal entity in India, or have an Indian partner
- Operate in an Indian city
- Have a solution that is in the post-pilot or scale-up stage
- Abide by the Terms and Conditions of the Lab
- Be available to develop, showcase and pitch their projects in the period between January and July 2019.
