Himadri is Program Manager – Urban Development and Accessibility at WRI India Sustainable Cities. He is based in Bangalore. He has 14+ years of experience in Architecture, Urban Planning and Urban Design. Himadri brings work experience from India and abroad. His work experience in India, is based from cities of Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore with projects located in most geographical regions of the country.
At WRI India, he leads the work around Sustainable Communities focusing on issues around Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and Neighborhood Improvement Projects (NIP). He also co-ordinates publications related to these work areas. His work also includes engaging with other teams such as Transport, GHG, GPMDG, V&A and R&P to coordinate components within project towards comprehensive outputs. One of his key achievements, is the work on the Safe Access Plan and Development Control Regulation around Indiranagar Station of Namma Metro in Bangalore. Himadri has been actively involved in research and academics through teaching studios, lectures and workshops in 3 universities across India.
Himadri has an advanced Masters in Human Settlements from Katholieke University of Leuven (KUL) Belgium. He also has a B.Arch (Architecture) degree and an M.Arch (Urban Design) from New Delhi, India.
