WRI India Sustainable Cities recently held the New Mobility Lab – a business model validation accelerator – from November 11-15th 2016 in Mumbai. The Lab was held in partnership with The Unreasonable Institute from Colorado, USA (which has supported 90+ ventures from 59 countries, impacting over 8 million lives globally and enabling venture funding of USD 72 million). Other Lab partners were NASSCOM 10,000 startups, Autonebula, Startup Weekend, Indian Angel Network, Lead Angels, TiE Mumbai, Zone Startups, and Unltd India.
The New Mobility Lab aimed to discover emerging new mobility entrepreneurs with innovative solutions to solve the commuting challenges in Indian cities. The Lab was an intensive 5-day bootcamp designed to provide new mobility entrepreneurs with a step-by-step methodology to rapidly and systematically validate their venture’s business model.
The New Mobility Lab focused on four key themes:
- Encouraging Shared Mobility
- Improving Commuter Experience
- Product Innovation
- Enabling Data-Driven Decision Making
